Mimi Rogers

Handbell Assistant

Mimi has been a lifelong member of UCC. She started ringing bells in Centennial middle school handbell choir. Mimi graduated from Central Methodist College in Fayette, Missouri with a BS in Early Childhood / Elementary Education. She teaches Kindergarten / ESL at South Davis Elementary in the Arlington ISD.

When she graduated from high school, she was asked to assist in directing one of the bell choirs during The Boar’s Head and Yule Log Festival.

2000 – 2002; Director of the ABC (Adult Beginning Choir) Bell Choir
2000; Assisted with WC/Cent Handbell Choir
2004 – present; Director of the Whitechapel Handbell Choir

Mimi rings in Ad Deum Handbell Choir, 5×5 Wedding Choir, and also participates in solo, duet and quartet ringing. She was in the core group that started Concert Bells of Fort Worth Community Handbell Choir. She has traveled on a mission trip through Germany with a bell choir from Meadowbrook Methodist.
Other activities Mimi has participated in include singing in the UCC Chancel Choir, Boar’s Head and Yule Log Festival Guild member, Elder, Emmaus contact person, UCC Emmaus Reunion Group Volunteer and usher at Bass Hall. She also enjoys tap dancing.
